Sarah Sprinks is also available by appointment and works alongside our doctors with 'Minor illness' appointments in addition to all other nurse services.

'Minor illness' appointments are available daily. These appointments are for patients (over 5 years of age) who have minor aliments such as coughs and colds and general illness, ear pain or hearing loss, nausea or diarrhoea emergency contraception advice, vaginal discharge, sprains and strains or minor injury. Sarah is an independent prescriber. She will always seek advice from the doctor is needed.

Blood Tests

Marie Beckwith is a phlebotomist. If you require a blood test, it must be at the request of the Doctor or Nurse to ensure that the correct forms and tests are requested.

There may be a wait of approximately 10 days for routine tests due to demand. If the test is urgent your GP will arrange the appointment.

If a suitable appointment is not available at the surgery, you can also go to St Richards Hospital for your test. The Pathology Department is located on the first floor of the outpatient block.

St Richard Hospital opening times for phlebotomy: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 16:45.

If you need to call us for any test results, please call reception Monday to Friday between 14:00 – 16:00.
