Appointments

All consultations are by appointment only and you have the choice to visit the doctor in person or request a telephone consultation. Normally an appointment with the doctor lasts 10 minutes, however for more complex consultations it is possible to ask for a ‘double’ 20 minute appointment.

You can make an appointment by either calling in at the surgery or by telephoning 01403 752246/753499 during surgery opening hours. Alternatively you may register with us for SystmOnline and book via the link at the top of this page. This service allows you to book, cancel and view appointments online in the comfort of your own home at any time, day or night. Click here for more information about how to register for this service.

If your problem is urgent you will be seen on the day of your request by the duty doctor but you may have to wait until the end of surgery if all the appointments have been filled.

If you phone before 11:00 we will try our best to offer you an appointment with one of the doctors on the same day. After 11:00 you will normally be offered an appointment on the same or the following day.

Please call between 14:00 and 16:00 for any results.

All the doctors and nurses are happy to speak to you on the telephone, however they may be consulting with another patient when you ring in which case the receptionist will take your number and the doctor will call you back later in the day.

Chaperones

For 'intimate' examinations all patients are entitled to have a chaperone. Your doctor should offer this service to you, or you may ask.

Telephone Consultations

All the doctors are happy to speak to you on the telephone, however they may be consulting with another patient when you ring in which case the receptionist will take your number and the doctor will call you back.

You may book a 'timed telephone consultation' where you can arrange for the doctor to call you back within an hour of that set time.

The practice nurses are also happy to give you advice either personally or on the telephone.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
